Connect Odoo based on your modules and data
Odoo can support several business processes in one environment. We first look at the modules you use, the information they manage and the other software that needs to work with them. The official Odoo external API documentation notes that available models and fields can vary by database.
For broader decisions about product, order and stock information, see ERP integrations.
Which Odoo modules and data are involved?
We map the data flow you need and where the information starts. An Odoo module may manage customer, product or order details. We agree which system remains authoritative for each type of information and what the other tool needs to receive.

What do we need to check about your Odoo setup?
Your modules, version, hosting, custom fields and access rights all affect which route may be feasible. Odoo's API documentation and the settings in your specific database help establish what is available. We check the applicable plan and hosting with you, because supplier terms and access options can change.
How do we avoid conflicting information?
If Odoo and another tool both manage the same information, we agree which system is the source of truth for each field. We also decide what should happen when a value is missing, changed or inconsistent. A team member can review uncertain cases before the information moves on.
How do we assess an integration with your Odoo environment?
We map the modules, version, hosting and data involved. Then we check which fields, features and permissions are available in your database. We agree which tool owns each value and how to handle exceptions. This lets the proposal reflect your actual setup and the access you can provide.
Discuss modules and tools
Identify the Odoo modules and other tools involved.
Check version and access
Check version, hosting, custom fields, plan and access rights.
Agree on data ownership
Agree data ownership and how exceptions are handled.
Set the scope
Define feasible work, deliverables, responsibilities, price and schedule.
What affects the cost of an Odoo integration?
The price and schedule depend on the modules, version, hosting, custom setup, fields and data flows involved. Access rights, existing connections and testing also affect the scope. The proposal explains deliverables, responsibilities and relevant recurring costs.
Common questions
We cannot tell from the product name alone. Version, modules, hosting, access rights and customisations all matter. We review your environment and requested data flow before confirming what may be feasible and in scope.
We assess any customisations that affect the relevant data or features. The documentation and settings in your own database are the basis for that review.
Not necessarily. We first check whether your current environment makes the agreed data available. If a limitation prevents the requested flow, we discuss it before suggesting an alternative.
Which Odoo data needs to work with your other tools?
Tell us which Odoo modules you use, which other tools are involved and what information your team needs to share. We can then discuss the next checks.
